Cucina Takes Top Prize at The 1st Annual Taste of Woodstock;
hosted by the Woodstock Film Festival

Other winners include Peace, Love & Cupcakes, Red Onion and Yum Yum Noodle Bar

(Woodstock, NY) May 23, 2013- The 1st Annual Taste of Woodstock was a bonafide hit Wednesday night. Guests walked around the center of town enjoying tastes from over 20 different local restaurants and vendors until their stomachs were just about bursting.

The Woodstock Film Festival presented the event with proceeds going to benefit the organization. Orgnanizer and WFF Board member Lauri Andretta is hoping that the event can become an annual tradition in the town, "Woodstock is the perfect place to have a great event like this. We have fabulous restaurants that serve outstanding food and are great people."

It was a terrific atmosphere and even the predicted rain steered clear of the festivities.

Several awards were doled out as a result of attendee voting. The coveted Best Overall award went to Cucina, which also took home the Best Main Course. Other winners:

Best Appetizer: The Red Onion
Best Side Dish: Yum Yum Noodle Bar
Best Dessert: Peace, Love & Cupcakes

Meanwhile there was a three way tie for top beverage with Woodstock Winery, Apothic Red and Keegan Ales.

WDST provided the entertainment for the evening as they played tunes from the middle of the Village Green.

The following restaurants and vendors took part in Taste of Woodstock: Binnewater, Bistro-to-Go, Bread Alone, Catskill Mountain Pizza Company, Corner Cupboard, The Creekside Grille, Cucina; Garden Cafe on the Green, Joshua's Cafe, Keegan Ales, Landau Grill, Little Apple, Maria's Bazaar, Mountain Gate Indian Restaurant, New World Home Cooking Co., Oriole 9, Peace, Love & Cupcakes, The Red Onion, Sunfrost Farms, Woodstock Winery, Yum Yum Noodle Bar and Woodstock Wine and Liquors.

Other venues that participated included Mirabai Books, Westwood Metes & Bounds, The Center for Photography and Lily's Boutique.
