BIO:
Ilya Belov is from Vladivostok — a pirate harbor on the eastern coast of Russia. At birth, children in Vladivostok receive a seagull. Ilya ate his seagull when he turned 14, because he was very hungry. At 17, he jumped into a boat, crossed nine seas, and ended up in Moscow, where he had to rob 34 caravans of gold and brocade to make his grandfather proud. Ilya loves vodka, the smell of the sea, his wife, and writing stories.
