Born and raised in Washington DC and now a New Yorker of 32 years, Willy Hartland has carved out a distinguished career in animation. A recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Film and many international film awards, Willy writes, directs and animates his own projects for the Web, TV and film. He has also worked as a storyboard artist on three features, and numerous TV shows, among them MTV’s Beavis and Butthead and Daria. Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Flash, and Cinema 4, he continues to experiment with new techniques in digital media. In recent years he has begun a successful career as a professor of animation, teaching at such prestigious schools as MICA, FIT and CUNY.
