In 2018, it can feel like what divides our society — race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status — is more evident than what unites it. So, our video series "Conception" asked parents: How do you raise children in a world that already sees them — and you — in a certain way?
BIO: Maya Edelman is an animator and illustrator living and working in New York City. She has worked with as a director with clients such as New York Times, Pop Sugar, Zagat, UCLA, The Dana Foundation, and Whil Concepts. She enjoys being an animator and designer working in a team setting with her awesome colleagues, and has worked on animated projects for Psyop, Blacklist, Transistor, Mighty Oak, Havas Studio 6, and ODD/NY.
She is currently represented as a director of animation at MAJORITY. Her great loves include film, getting lost in her home city, and cats.
