Maggie, a widowed cook at Huntsville Death House, has prepared the last meals of condemned men for thirty years — but tonight's dish is special. After tonight, there will never be another 'last meal request.'
Courtenay E. Johnson is a bicoastal director/writer/producer. She recently wrote and directed the short film LAST REQUESTS, starring Dale Dickey and Lindsay Pulsipher. Courtenay has also directed, shot and edited music videos for Vancouver musician Nick Krgovich and the LA-based band Bouquet. She recently produced Dan Schechter's SAFE SPACES and Mark Jackson's THIS TEACHER. She has worked with award-winning talent across the globe including Piper Perabo, Catherine Keener, Bennett Miller, Don Roos and Clive Owen. Her on-set film and television credits include: NOTORIOUS, WAR STORY, WEB THERAPY, A LATE QUARTET, SCREAM 4, THE UNUSUALS, THE OTHER WOMAN, and LIPSTICK JUNGLE. She began her film career working in publicity at The Weinstein Company.
