SYNOPSIS:
When 6-year-old Alice is told by her mother that her father has become a "beast," she starts to question who or what she really is.
BIO:
Leonora is a British filmmaker who studied at NYU Tisch's graduate film program with a Tisch & Johnson scholarship.
Her latest short, a gothic fairytale entitled Beast, was funded by the BFI NET.work and Creative England's Emerging Talent fund and stars Billie Piper. The film won Best Drama Short at the Voice of A Woman Film Festival at Cannes Lions 2018 and has been selected for Oscar-qualifying festivals Hollyshorts, Show Me Shorts and Bermuda Film Festival amongst others.
Leonora is also developing Ex Sanguis with Ardisson Images (God's Own Country). The project has been selected to pitch at the Inside Out Film Finance Forum in Toronto in 2018 and was first developed through iFeatures 2016.
She co-directed the collaborative feature Black Dog, Red Dog, starring James Franco, Whoopi Goldberg, Chloe Sevigny and Logan Marshall-Green. Her previous shorts have been nominated for a Student Academy Award & the Liberty Global Student Award, won a Hollywood Foreign Press Association grant & screened at festivals including Aspen Shortsfest, Palm Springs Shortsfest, Austin Film Festival, & more.
Leonora is represented by Roxana Adle & Alex Rusher at Independent Talent Group.
