A beggar chances upon a thousand rupee note and thinks he has found treasure. The passing day, and his efforts to live a better life, leaves him with fresh insight.
Samay Bhattacharya's first film as an indie filmmaker was the short Ten Past Twelve, which won the Critic's Award at Manhattan Shorts, India. It was also judged Best Film in Festember NIT Trichy. Bhattacharya worked as an assistant director under the well-known producer-director Shoojit Sircar for six years. During this period he assisted on more than a hundred commercials for Reliance, Airtel, Xoom.com, Chevrolet Beat, Mahindra Bike, Sony IPL, among others. He also worked on the much acclaimed feature film Vicky Donor and the yet to be released Pink.

Bhattacharya graduated from Xavier Institute of Communications with a diploma in Digital Animation and has been involved in entertainment since chidhood as an actor in the well- known television series Amanat.
