Making its worldwide premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival on Sept. 24, 4:45pm at Upstate Films I in Rhinebeck with a return screening on Sept. 25, 4:45pm at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, "Fat Cows Lean Cows" tells the story of Yossi, an Israeli dairy farm owner and his longtime workers; An Arab named Ibrahim and Eddie, from Thailand. In a world torn by race and social classes, "Fat Cows Lean Cows" shares the story of disparate people living in accord and the struggles they endure together.
"Fat Cows Lean Cows" tenderly documents an "improvised" family's attempt to survive in a chaotic and unstable world with beautiful and nuanced storytelling to say that yes, we too can get along" said Patrick Miller
Meni Elias is an established director and cinematographer with an extensive background in documentary filmmaking. Elias' documentary "Rough Water" won Best Picture and Best Cinematography at the Israeli Documentary Film Awards and participated in many additional festivals.

The Box Office, located at 13 Rock City Rd, is open Wednesday-Sunday from noon-6pm through Sept. 17; it will be open every day from 9am-7pm, starting Sept. 18 through the last day of the festival, Sunday, Sept. 25. Ticket prices for WFF events range from $5-$75. Panels are $15. Concerts range from $20-$25. There are also a limited number of tickets available for the Gala Honorary Maverick Awards Ceremony. A limited number of special Full Festival Passes are available for purchase. Single purchase tickets will also be available at each screening and concert venue.
