WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL, HUDSON VALLEY PROGRAMMERS GROUP UNLEASHES THE MITCH SHOW
IN JUNE
(Woodstock NY) – April 2, 2007: This summer, the Woodstock Film Festival Film Series sponsored by Kevin A Cahilland the Hudson Valley Programmers Group present some serious comedy in the Catskills, courtesy of a man who claims to be Paris Hilton?s former housemate. No, not Henny Youngman. Meet Mitchell Rose.
Irreverent, self-deprecating and possibly just plain loony, Mitchell Rose brings THE MITCH SHOW to the Bearsville Theater on Sunday, June 3rd (Visit www.hvpg.org for other scheduled dates in Albany and Poughkeepsie). The collection of comic short films is part of the Hudson Valley Programmers Group and is being presented in Woodstock with the WFF Film Series, sponsored by Assemblyman Kevin A. Cahill (D – Ulster, Dutchess). Doors open at 7:30pm and Cahill will be on hand to introduce the film.
“I am happy to have obtained the funding for this regional film series,” said Cahill. “It is clear that the arts are gaining momentum as an economic engine in the Hudson Valley. I hope that these movies provide area residents not only an entertaining way to spend time with their families and friends, but a venue for a provocative discussion about cinematography and production. But The Mitch Show is more than just a retrospective of offbeat comic short films spanning the oeuvre of the artiste, it's a film/performance mashup.
