"In the tradition of…
The Beatles...
Charlie Chaplin...
and William Shakespeare...
...the work of Mitchell Rose doesn't suck."
But The Mitch Show is more than just a retrospective of offbeat comic short films spanning the oeuvre of the artiste, it's a film/performance mashup. Not only does Mitchell present his hilarious, innovative films, but he also leads several comic audience-participation performance pieces. The result is pure cineformatainment.
"Mr. Rose is a rare and wonderful talent," pronounces The New York Times, the heaviest newspaper in the world. And all this… can be yours!
ABOUT THE HUDSON VALLEY PROGRAMMERS GROUP
AND THE WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL
The HVPG creates, curates and administers a touring road show program that bring established and emerging filmmakers to venues around the Hudson Valley region, providing them opportunities to exhibit their work and interact with the community, and giving audiences equally rare opportunities for interacting. The filmmakers introduce their work, speaking at length about their ideas behind their films, and describing their experiences making the films, as well as their experiences within the film industry. An audience Q&A session follows each screening. Visit www.hvpg.org for more info.
The eighth annual Woodstock Film Festival takes place October 10-14, 2007. The ‘fiercely independent’ event will include more than 150 films, panels, concerts, and special events that will be featured at venues in Woodstock and the neighboring towns of Rhinebeck, Hunter, and Rosendale.
The Woodstock Film Festival, which was named the 2006 Tourism Business of the Year by the Ulster County Development Corporation and the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, has established itself as one of the best independent film events in the country by premiering exceptional films, hosting the most talented emerging and established professionals in the movie industry, presenting A-list concerts, parties and panels, and creating innovative and stimulating programming year-round. Stay tuned for more special screening including a summer family series.
The Woodstock Film Festival is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to present an annual program and year-round schedule of film, music, and art-related activities that promotes artists, culture, inspired learning, and diversity. The Hudson Valley Film Commission promotes sustainable economic development by attracting and supporting film, video, and media production.
