The ELEVENTH Annual Woodstock Film Festival (Sept 29-Oct 3, 2010) is looking for VOLUNTEERS and some STAFF positions to help prior to and during the 5-day festival.

To be a strong candidate for paid work you need to have at least two years experience under your belt in work that is relevant to your application.

All positions have different start and end dates which will be reviewed during the interview process. Many positions begin mid to late August.

Executive Director's Assistant

This person must be positive, outgoing and extremely thorough. Microsoft Office, excellent computer skills, good writing and telephone skills are required. Previous office experience and FileMaker Pro experience a plus. The position requires initiative, follow-through, attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Transportation is also required.

Director of Development's Assistant

This person must be positive, outgoing and extremely thorough. Dreamweaver and/or HTML, Photoshop and Indesign, Microsoft Office, excellent computer skills and telephone skills are required. Previous office experience and FileMaker Pro experience a plus. The position requires strong technical skills and ability to learn quickly, follow-through, attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Transportation is also required.

Personnel Coordinator
The personnel coordinator must be someone local to the Woodstock Area. He or she must be extremely organized, computer savvy, and have experience in hiring. Position also may require an assistant in the two weeks prior to and during the festival to finalize schedules, support training, and work directly with staffing for all departments. Personnel Coordinator is responsible for nearly 300 volunteers.
Print Trafficker

The print trafficker should be involved with the festival one to two months leading up to the festival and one week following. The manager must schedule, deliver and return film prints from each venue; prepare needs reports for Technical; contact distribution companies, studios, and filmmakers for information; and properly send out all films at the close of the showcase.

Food Services

The Food Services Coordinator works closely with the Operations Department and needs to be available a few days prior to the festival in order to procure supplies and organize proper storage. Manager will oversee distribution of snacks/meals/beverages at Hospitality and for staff scattered throughout the venues.

Maintenance
The Maintenance crew of volunteers will work to maintain a clean and beautiful festival. Responsibilities include emptying receptacles at venues 2/day and disposing of garbage at an off-site location. Maintenance department also works clean-up after Saturday's Awards Ceremony. This position receives double stand-by vouchers per shift, to attend screenings while off-duty.
Operations Manager

Manager Assists the operations Director with facilitating needs of all departments in the festival, assists in managing permits, correspondence with police/security and venue owners. Operations manager must have a real can-do attitude with go-getter enthusiasm. High energy is needed, flexibility, and resourcefulness are a must and strong organizational skills are required.

Sales - Merchandise

Sales begin three weeks before and continue through the showcase. Manager is responsible for sales at box office and screening venues, including delivery, tracking, and return receipt; and staff management. Staff is also needed to sell inventory.

Sales - Box Office
The box office manager and staff sell passes and tickets, track sales, maintain strict control over financial transactions, operate computer
system, work with PR department on ticket holds; work with venue managers on venue ticket sales; and must be familiar with showcase schedule and general film information.
Production Department

The Production Department crew member should be an experienced grip who can assist the buildout of venues (pipe, drapery, chairs, stages, carpet), work with the art department to dress and maintain venues and on event site design, and assist Media Relations on traveling interview sets.

Technical

Crew is needed to work with crew chiefs to install and run audio and video equipment during the showcase. Manager also needs a technical assistant to schedule the crew and ensure that the correct equipment is in place.

Transportation Captain
The Transportation Captain handles the coordination of deliveries, pre-and post-festival pickups, vehicle rentals for festival fleet and for vip guests, flight, train and bus tickets and schedules for VIP guess, manages shuttles prior to and during the festival, especially to and from festival parties. Transpo Captain is responsible for several drivers and their schedules. Must be organized with strong communications skills and the ability to be extremely flexible during the festival.
Transportation Crew

Drivers must be 25 years of age or older, maintain excellent driving records and familiarity with the area for driving festivals guests to and from venues, airports, bus stations, hotels, parties, etc. Drivers must be discrete, polite, professional and courteous. WFF provides vehicles to transport guests

Venue Management
The festival needs managers and staff for each venue to deal with tickets, load the house and handle announcements, sales, venue maintenance coordination, etc. Must be resouceful and able to think you your feet.
