WHAT A YEAR!
We'd like to thank you for making 2011 a very productive year!

We want to wish you a very happy & healthy holiday season and as the year comes to a close, we'd like to remind you that there's still time to make a tax-deductible donation to the WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL and HUDSON VALLEY FILM COMMISSION to support the WFF & HVFC CAPITAL CAMPAIGN for the FILM CENTER.

With your help, we were finally able to mortgage our new home at 13 Rock City Road in the center of Woodstock.  Since January, we have been transforming this landmark property into the FILM CENTER!  Renovations are ongoing and include new insulated windows, paint, bathroom fixtures and a back entrance. A new heating system is still being installed. None of these improvements could have happened without your continued support.

Thanks to generous contributors like you and in-kind support, we have raised more than half of our
2011 Capital Campaign goal BUT in order to meet our goal, we still need your help!

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution. See details about benefits and perks at http://www.woodstockfilmfestival.com/fundraising/capitalcampaign.php, or
enter your donation amount directly through paypal.

Here are some of the things we've accomplished since moving in!

Using energy efficient materials, we began renovations on this 1930's cinder block building and made huge strides towards creating a truly state-of-the-art facility.

We insulated and transformed a dingy old storeroom into a beautiful conference room for staff meetings and film production offices.

We retrofitted the attached garage to a brand new employee entrance and hallway and created an office space that doubles as a small screening room.

While bringing electric and exits up to code, crews and volunteers refinished the hardwood floors and painted the walls in the upstairs apartment, which is now prepared for production and guest suites (call to ask us about specifics).

Here's a list of the programming and events that were held here in 2011!

The 12th Annual Woodstock Film Festival was a success and featured highlights like the sold-out US Premiere of Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding with director Bruce Beresford. Actors Mark Ruffalo, Ellen Barkin, Vincent D'Onofrio, Fisher Stevens, Tim Blake Nelson and directors like Tony Kaye (Detachment), Susan Seidelman (Musical Chairs), Barbara Kopple (A Force of Nature), Nancy Savoca (Union Square) and Debra Granik (Winter's Bone) turned out to make WFF 2011 another talked about event.

Held casting calls for productions like Family Tree starring John Slattery, New Skin, Mobile Home, Persephone and Sparrow Lane.

HVPG, which is a part of WFF hosted a teen workshop with Emmy Award® winning filmmaker Lisa Gossels and screened her award-winning documentary My So Called Enemy.

A test-screening was held with teens and young adults for Rhymes with Bananas starring Zosia Mamet.

We rented office space and equipment to the film Family Tree and we gave a teen filmmaker a place to shoot interviews for his documentary.

We held festival operations and opened a box office at the FILM CENTER and now run our administrative and box offices here year-round.
