BIO: Aicha Cherif is a student, documentary filmmaker, and activist. Her first film Cut, which focuses on female genital mutilation, won the Global Impact Award at the Girl Impact the World Film Festival. Through her work with the Lower East Side Girls club, Aicha has interviewed Reese Witherspoon, Colin Kapernick, Elaine Welteroth and many more. As a former Tribeca Film Institute fellow, she hopes to use her budding talents as a filmmaker to tell the stories of underprivileged women worldwide.
