Screening Times and Venues:

SYNOPSIS:
The Woodstock Film Festival is pleased to present a selection of four virtual reality pieces. Virtual Reality is the next phase of storytelling for creators and artists. It's an exciting new medium that must be experienced to be understood. We will be presenting room scale experiences using HTC VIVE.

The installation is organized and curated by Carol Silverman , an Emmy award-winning set decorator, VR artist, and Hudson Valley local, and Dario Laverde, a virtual reality expert at HTC VIVE.

Each experience ranges from 3-8 minutes. Each ticket holder will get to try 1 to 4 experiences on a first come, first served basis, during the one-hour block of time that they have reserved.

Virtual Reality experiences to be featured include:

CHOCOLATE
This VR music video experience for the song Chocolate by Giraffage sets you in a cat-centric world of sparkling colorful chrome with a tribe of people doing a ritualistic dance just for you, their robot god, to provide them with their precious resource, cute lil' chrome kitties.

Artist Bio: Tyler Hurd is a person. A person who created a delightful little VR short film called BUTTS and a nonsensically joyful VR music video for Future Islands8 song Old Friend, which premiered at Tribeca 2016 and the critics seemed to enjoy. Tyler is a person who is happy when things are not serious. And most notably, a person who writes bios about himself in the 3rd person.

BLORTASIA
Take a break from reality and explore an animated psychedelic sculpture park. Wander through the labyrinth, soar across the open space, or just hang out and let the mesmerizing ever-changing sculptures provide a rejuvenating refuge for your mind. Blortasia combines art and flying in virtual reality.
Artist Bio: Kevin Mack is a virtual reality artist, founder of Shape Space VR, and an Academy Award winning visual effects pioneer.

THE PRICE OF FREEDOM
You are Agent Zero. Your mission: assassinate Benjamin Miller, a radical who broke into CIA facilities and stole top secret chemical weapons research. Your mission quickly takes a dark turn as you learn the truth of what Miller was searching for that night.

Creative Team: CEO and Creative Director/Co-Founder. Joel Ogden, is a combat veteran turned artist and designer. He is best known as the director of the interactive VR spy drama The Price of Freedom and the production designer for the award-winning VR film Imago, and recently noted as one of Variety Magazine's "10 VR Innovators to watch."

VP & Head of Business Development/Co-Founder Chuck Tsung-Han Lee, is an entrepreneur and a VR/AR evangelist. He worked at Microsoft XBOX RSM team and pioneer VR content company Wevr. He was also the project lead for Narrative VR Film Imago and Mixed Reality game Garden. Chuck is now the VP and Head of Business Development at Construct Studio.

CORAL AND I
A visually rich animated piece designed, modeled and animated in VR, CORAL AND I examines the impact that humans have on the environments around them and in turn, evokes awareness of the impact nature has on us.

Artist Bios: Luke Bubb is a South African born artist based in Australia creating original art, experience and design content for the Film, Virtual Reality, and Arts industries.

Matt Hermans is a young veteran of the advertising industry in Australia. Covering the gamut of TVC, Film and installation mediums he has a wide base of experience over the past 15 years. During this time he developed dangerously futuristic workflows at Fuel and Alt VFX while waiting for technology to catch up to his vision.
