SYNOPSIS: Dove is a dance music video about desire and betrayal shot throughout the alleys and markets of Bogot, Colombia. The story begins as our hero realizes her lover has left - and stolen her prize bird. With a seductive soundtrack by Pillar Point and featuring the sensational moves of Voguing artist Kia Labeija, what follows is an adventure through the city told through music and dance.
BIO: Jacob Krupnick's work is a collision of human movement and culture in the urban landscape. As a director and photographer working on commercial and documentary films, Jacob's work with dancers and athletes transforms their movement into unique and cinematic stories.
In 2011, Jacob directed Girl Walk // All Day, a feature-length music video set to Girl Talk's mashup album, All Day. A tale of urban exploration and love, the film follows three dancers across New York City as they turn the city's sidewalks, parks, and public spaces into a stage as they spread their joy - entirely through dance.
Heralded by the press as a 'love letter like none-other to the city that never sleeps,' and a 'delightful testimony to the power of community,' the film was an early crowd-funding phenomenon, using Kickstarter and social media to fund the film, find talent, crew, and organize hundreds of interactive screenings around the world.
Jacob has directed films for brands including Converse and Brooks Brothers, created documentary films for the New York Times Magazine & T Style, and directed numerous music videos.
Jacob's work has screened at the SXSW Film Festival, Bonnaroo, Dia Art Foundation, Munich Film Festival, and Mass MOCA among many others.
