BIO: Yi was born and raised in Beijing. At the age of eighteen, she went to the United States to pursue her filmmaking dream. In 2014, Yi graduated from NYU with a major in film and a minor in psychology. Her thesis film has screened in over a dozen film festivals. Water! is Yi's second short film.
