Under the waning light of a solar eclipse, two young best friends, Alice and Kristi, journey to a magical desert garden. Their mission is to capture an elusive and powerful sun drop, with which they plan to murder Alice's monstrous father. The real world intertwines with the magical in this journey into the power of a child's imagination.
BIO: Lina Roessler studied English and creative writing at Concordia University in Montreal, and received a performance degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Art in NYC. Her television acting credits include a recurring role on "Lost Girl", as well as guest spots on episodes of "Republic of Doyle, Motive" and "Supernatural". In 2010, she was nominated for an ACTRA Award for her performance in the feature "Snow and Ashes". "The Vow", which she wrote, directed and produced, is her directorial debut and the first short in a series. It recently won First Prize, Best Children's Short at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
