SYNOPSIS:
More than simply a tribute to a once-famous father, "Of All The Things" chronicles the late-in-life comeback of singer songwriter producer Dennis Lambert, responsible for such 1970s mega-hits as ""Ain't No Woman (Like The One I've Got)", "Baby Come Back" and "Rhinestone Cowboy." Lambert had settled into musical obscurity when a call from the Philippines takes him from selling high end real estate to rekindling the passion that led him to write and produce over six-hundred songs. Much to his surprise his album "Bags and Things," unsuccessful in the US, became wildly popular in the Philippines. At first reluctant to perform, Lambert, urged on by his family, finally agrees to a concert tour. Documented by his son, Jody, "Of All Things" is a story about second chances. Despite the frustrations of a live tour, Lambert's sweetness and humility shine through. This is a man transformed by the knowledge that his legacy lives on. (Barbara Pokras, A.C.E.)
