SYNOPSIS:
Maggie and her sister forge an unusual bond during an encounter with a young stranger.
BIO:
Myna Joseph recently graduated from Columbia University's School of the Arts where her thesis short "Man" won the New Line Cinema Award for Best Director and the Student Choice Award for Best Cinematography in the 2007 Columbia University Film Festival. The short is loosely related to one of her feature-length scripts, The Arrival (Faculty Selects, 2006). She is currently co-producing a feature-length documentary shot in a Philadelphia High School called Pressure Cooker. Short films she's produced have received awards from New Line, HBO, and Eastman Kodak. Most recently, she produced "The Hunter," which won Grand Prize at the USA Film Festival, and she co-produced "The Second Line," which was nominated for a Student Academy Award. At Columbia, she served as a Media Fellow and editing instructor and she also taught undergraduate screenwriting.
