SYNOPSIS:
Ashwini had a thirst for unknown. His desperate wings, always in quest of a greater world, were folded beneath his love for his wife, Putul, and his son, Sumonto. When the political situation in their home city of Calcutta shifted, Ashwini's passion for going beyond the limited horizon was triggered and he decided to take action. However, his
conviction about his relationships and his own beliefs could not shield him from the ruthlessness of life. At the most crucial junction, Ashwini found himself alone, misunderstood by the world around him. To Ashwini, death seemed sweeter than life.
Years later, Sumonto's rejection of an amoral compromise barred him from getting a promotion at work. He becomes a failure in the eyes of the outer world. Consequently, the otherwise cold and mechanical relationship with his wife Supriya takes a turn for the worse. Sumonto helplessly searches for a hand to hold. He wants to communicate with someone, anyone, especially his father Ashwini. Sumonto too now stands on a ridge between life and death.
This film talks about strange, ever changing human relationships and is colored with the grandeur of a traveling theatre troupe, embroidered with a series of surreal sequences, and underlined with amazing touches of humor.
