    WHY ADVERTISE WITH US?

    Exposure and Support

The Woodstock Film Festival is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization which presents an annual program and year-round schedule of film, music, and art-related activities that promote artists, culture, inspired learning, and diversity. The Hudson Valley Film Commission creates sustainable economic development by attracting and supporting regional film, video, and media production.

Over the past eight years, the Woodstock Film Festival has established itself as one of the best independent film events in the country by premiering exceptional films; hosting the most talented emerging and established people in the movie industry; presenting A-list concerts, parties, and panels; and creating innovative and stimulating programming. The festival has drawn rave reviews nationwide from filmmakers, industry members, film lovers, and the media alike.

    • During each year's five-day fall showcase, the festival draws sold out audiences from the New York metropolitan area and the Hudson Valley and attracts visitors from across the country and the world. Showcase events take place in Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Rosendale, Hunter, Kingston, and other towns in the area. Year-round events are also held in New York City and Albany.
    • Millions of others are exposed to the festival via television (including WNBC's Today Show and CNN Financial News), newspaper stories (including Time Magazine, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Daily News, and Time Out NY), Internet stories and links, print ads, and the WFF website, which averages 30,000 hits daily.
    • The festival spreads the word about events, productions, sponsors, and filmmakers through its monthly e-newsletters, which has become a staple in the independent film industry, even getting kudos in the Wall Street Journal's desktop traveler.
    • Tourism is promoted through the Woodstock Film Festival website travel page, which includes transportation information and free accommodations listings for local B&Bs, inns, and hotels.
    • Every year, festival events and Hudson Valley Film Commission work result in local economic development worth well into the millions of dollars, including film productions like War of the Worlds and The Thing About My Folks (read more) .
