the music and legacy of Pakistani legendary
singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, regarded as one of
the most beautiful
voices of the century. Always bridging the political and
religious boundaries
between Pakistan and India, Nusrat's ecstatic music
offered a transcending
experience to worldwide audiences.
8pm - CONCERT EVENT:
A SPECIAL LIVE CONCERT follow
the screening featuring Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and
his nine man ensemble. Rahat, who became the head of the
ensemble after his
uncles passing, just completed an American tour and
recently finished
recording a new album with Rick Rubin, soon to be
released by Sony.
